Juventus Bring In Former Azzurri Manager Luciano Spalletti

Juventus have named previous Italian national team boss Luciano Spalletti as their manager for the rest of the term.

Spalletti replaces the Croatian manager, who was let go after the Serie A side's defeat by Lazio recently.

Tudor had joined the club in March to replace Thiago Motta but exited following a seven-month stint at the end of an eight-match winless run.

Spalletti guided Napoli to the Serie A crown in 2022-23 then moving on to lead the Italian national team, after the team's failure to reach the 2022 World Cup under former boss Roberto Mancini.

He helped them qualify for Euro 2024 but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.

However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June after a World Cup qualifying defeat by Norway, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.

He has previously coached Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Italy's top flight and lifted the Russian league trophy twice while at Zenit St Petersburg.

Juventus were temporarily led by Massimo Brambilla in the midweek 3-1 triumph over Udinese placing them seventh in the Serie A standings - six points adrift of Napoli at the top after nine rounds.

They are 25th in the league phase of the Champions League, after recording one defeat and two ties in the initial three fixtures.
